Colusa Fire Department Report (October)

The Colusa City Fire Department had 38 emergency dispatched calls that were code three responses, while there was one BLS Alternate Transport. There were 25 public contacts pertaining to fire, life safety, and prevention, reported Chief Logan Conley. There were 114 hours for emergency response, and three mutual/auto aid responses. There were nine strike team deployments for 2022.

Many meetings were attended in October for the Fire Department volunteer members and staff. City Council meetings and department head staff meetings were also attended. There was a meeting with Colusa Medical Center staff for a Non Emergent Transport agreement planning meeting.

There were six new construction inspections, and two occupancy inspections. There were two plan reviews performed, and one abatement complaint resolved. Fire Prevention Week was performed for the K-8th grade students.

There were three department wide trainings, and a daily recruit training for new volunteer firefighters. One firefighter is to attend State Certified Driver Operator 1A and 1B class. â–
