Trinity United Methodist Church of Colusa announced a new pastor will oversee the congregation as of Friday, July 1.
All are invited to attend Pastor Molly Knappen’s first service at Trinity UMC, 511 Oak Street, on Sunday, July 3, at the new worship time of 10 AM.
Raised Presbyterian by an agricultural family in southwestern Michigan, Knappen studied art and design at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Humboldt State University.
She became both a Methodist and Californian in her twenties. She has been married 21 years and has a 15-year-old daughter.
Pastor Knappen studied at Claremont School of Theology and just completed a year of pastoral training at The Table at Central United Methodist Church in Sacramento. Pastor Knappen brings a deep love for discipleship and spiritual formation activities to Trinity, church members said. ■
