The Colusa County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a commercial lease with the Masonic Hall Association for property located at 321 5th Street, in Colusa, to house Social Services employees, effective Sept. 1.
County officials said the Department of Health and Human Services has outgrown the footprint of their campus on East Webster and has found the old PG&E office to be a suitable location for expansion.
The county previously looked for affordable space to expand services on the west side of the county, but were unsuccessful, officials said.
Colusa County will enter a five-year lease agreement for the space to house 16 Social Services employees. The monthly rent is $1,931 for the first three years, with a 5 percent increase in year four. ■
