The Board of Supervisors on May 3 approved the 2022-23 subcontract with Chico State Enterprises for Senior Nutrition Program funding. The Department of Health and Human Services has partnered with California State University Chico’s Research Foundation since 2005 to provide nutrition services to senior citizens in Colusa County.
Services include the provision of meals in a congregate setting and those that are home-delivered. Nutrition education and risk-screening are also provided, as well as a comprehensive nursing assessment.
Under the terms of the agreement, the County of Colusa Health and Human Services will serve 4,199 congregate meals and 12,082 home delivered meals to residents of Colusa County. The total award of this contract is $124,443, an increase from $97,617. ■
