The Williams City Council on March 16 filled an open seat on the Planning Commission.
Williams resident Theresa Baker had reached out to city staff multiple times to express interest in a position as Planning Commissioner.
Baker has resided in Williams for three years and has shown interest in community involvement. “I love the small town feel and, for me, (Williams) offers everything I need to live peacefully without ever leaving town,” Baker noted on the application.
City officials said Baker met all the required qualifications for the Planning Commission and believes she is capable of making fair decisions and would “do a fine job” serving on the commission.
Baker will join Commissioners Steven Jeet, Marcie Voorhees, Maria Leyva, and Omsher Sahota at her first meeting on March 28. ■
