
Colusa Mayor Josh Hill met with Colusa residents at Rocco’s back patio Thursday morning. Conversation included the city’s homeless, particularly their camping by the Sacramento River. Hill said the city is focusing on the riverfront as a tourist area. Officials are awaiting word from the state on whether they will receive a $6 million grant from Proposition 68, the 2018 bond act that funds the creation or rehabilitation of parks and recreation areas in order to provide the public access to recreational opportunities. Meanwhile, Colusa continues to work with local partners, including Colusa County and Regional Housing Authority, to provide housing and homeless services. Commitment Colusa sponsors “Coffee with Council.” The fourth in the series will be held at 8:30 AM on Sept. 30 with Colusa Chief of Police Josh Fitch on Rocco’s back patio. Citizens are invited to attend.
