On Friday, November 28, 2014 at approximately 4:45 p.m., the Williams Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle collision on Interstate 5, just south of Myers Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Esther Powers, 36, of Vancouver, WA, was traveling in northbound in the left lane when, Ronald Rose, 53, of Paradise, CA was traveling northbound, alongside Powers in the right lane.
Due to the wet road conditions from rain falling at the time, Rose drove his vehicle in a manner that caused his vehicle to enter the left lane and collide with Powers vehicle.
Subsequently, Roses vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof.
Roses passenger, 57-year-old, Brian Chambers was transported to Colusa Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.
Rose suffered minor injuries but requested no medical transport. Powers reported no injuries at the time of the collision.
The collision is still under investigation by the Williams Area Office of the California Highway Patrol.
