Dear Editor,
As many of you know, the month of June is recognized as Pride month in celebration of our LGBTQ+ community. Whether you know it or not, Colusa County has many members of that community that are residing and thriving here. Id like to take a moment to celebrate the freedom to love whomever you choose and to show support to a community that isnt always embraced in a conservative rural area.
Colusa County is a wonderful place to live and its our obligation as a community to show support to all of our residents no matter who they love. I hope someday in the future, we will see our streets lined with rainbows in celebration of equality. To those in the LGBTQ+ community in Colusa County, I just want each of you to know, youve got allies! Happy Pride Month to all!
