Commodity Distribution – 11 a.m. to noon, Grimes Scout Cabin, 15 S. Fourth St., Grimes. Commodities will be distributed by the North State Food Bank Emergency Food Assistance Program while supplies last. Information: 530-712-2600.
Senior Spread – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the second and fourth Friday’s of each month at Trinity Friendship Hall, 511 Oak St., Colusa. A gathering for senior citizens, with lunch served at noon. Cost is $5, or $3 if you bring a dish to share.
Kindred Spirits: Book Club with a Twist – 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Sacramento Valley Museum, 1491 E St., Williams. This 21-and-older event features a rotating, small-group discussion format focused on “Kindred” by Octavia E. Butler. Virginia Read Day – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sacramento Valley Museum, 1491 E St., Williams. The event includes a keynote by Dr. Jasmine H. Wade at 10 a.m., followed by family-friendly activities from noon to 2 p.m., including an herb planting activity hosted by the Garden Club of Colusa County, a themed art project and a community time capsule project. A self-guided museum tour will also be available. The event is free and open to all ages.
Family Fair – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Colusa Fairgrounds Main Exhibit Hall. Free family event with activities, petting zoo, crafts, raffle prizes and lunch.
Free Kids’ Fish Day – 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Little Stony Creek Day Use Area, Goat Mountain Road, Stonyford. Hosted by the Colusa County Fish and Game Commission, this free event invites families to enjoy a day of fishing with children. Participants should bring their own gear, including poles, bait (no lures), nets, snacks, drinks and sunscreen.

Stonyford Rodeo – 7 p.m. at the Stonyford Rodeo Grounds. Opening night of the 83rd annual Stonyford Rodeo. Gates open at 5 p.m. Tickets available at stonyfordrodeo.com and select regional outlets.

Friends of the Library Wine Tasting – Noon to 3 p.m., Scout Cabin, 901 Parkhill St., Colusa. Hosted by the Friends of the Colusa County Free Library. Tickets are $30 and the event is open to those 21 and older. Proceeds support the Colusa County Free Library. Information and tickets: colusafol.org.
Garden Club of Colusa County Plant Sale – 9 a.m. to noon at the 10th Street Pavilion in Colusa. The annual fundraising plant sale and membership drive will feature indoor and outdoor plants, garden art and Mother’s Day gift ideas. Proceeds support community projects throughout Colusa County. Cash or checks accepted. Donations also accepted.

Princeton Senior Car Show – Noon to 4 p.m., Farmers Brewing Company, 880 County Road WW, Princeton. The third annual event features classic cars, trucks, modern muscle and motorcycles. Entry is $35 with pre registration or $45 the day of the event.

Stonyford Rodeo Open Events – Noon at the Stonyford Rodeo Grounds. The 83rd annual Stonyford Rodeo concludes with open events. Tickets available at stonyfordrodeo.com and select regional outlets.
