Saturday, April 11
Honey and Hot Rods — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 11 on 4th Street in downtown Orland. The free, family-friendly event will feature a classic car show, live music, a honey tasting trail, local shopping, food, wine and cold brews, along with face painting and a petting zoo. Flowers, Tombstones & Tales Cemetery Tour, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Historical Marysville City Cemetery, 2144 B St., Marysville. The Friends for the Preservation of Yuba County History volunteers have been working hard to get the cemetery ready for your visit. Tickets available at the event.
Monster X Tour – Noon and 7 p.m. at the Butte County Fairgrounds, 199 E. Hazel St., Gridley. Monster trucks will compete in racing, wheelie contests and freestyle action during two shows. Slo Joe’s 75th Birthday Bike Night – 4 to 7 p.m. at the Gridley Veterans Hall, 249 Sycamore St., Gridley. Hosted by the American Legion Riders Chapter 210, this family-friendly event will include slow races, a helmet toss challenge, cornhole, a 50/50 raffle and food including sloppy joes, cake and beverages. Proceeds support local veterans and community programs.

Beyond the Five Rivers: Punjabi Pioneers through the Art of Sarabjit Singh – Art Reception, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sutter County Museum, 1333 Butte House Rd., Yuba City. Singh is an award-winning visual artist based in California for over three decades. This special solo exhibition is a collaboration between Singh and the Museum, with sponsorship generously provided by the Punjabi American Heritage Society. Exhibition continues through Saturday, May 9.
Marysville High School Art Exhibit, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sutter Theater, 754 Plumas St., Yuba City. Marysville High School students will be showcasing all their outstanding artwork including photography, drawings, ceramics, and much more. Ruck the Buttes – Registration 7:30 a.m., start 8 a.m., SYO Park, 7780 Butte House Road, Sutter. This 15-mile, military-inspired ruck is hosted by Garage Fitness & Nutrition. Participants are required to carry weighted packs, with guidelines of 10 pounds for women and 20 pounds for men. Entry is $35 and includes a T-shirt and post-race snacks. Author Talk and Luncheon – Noon April 18 at the Glenn Success Square Conference Center, 131 E. Walker St., Orland. Award-winning author Steven T. Plant Swap, Share & Upcycle, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Artisan Community Garden, 1333 Butte House Rd., Yuba City. Bring at least one healthy pest-free plant, cutting, seedling starter, or pack of seeds (or more!) When you arrive, you can leave them on any table and browse through the items available. Or, if you are looking for something specific, hang onto your trade until you find what you’re looking for. Pick about as many plants as you brought. Event is rain or shine.
