MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) – The Yuba Sutter Colusa United Way has postponed its Annual Elegant Soiree, originally scheduled for April 10, citing unforeseen circumstances that affected planning for the event.
“The decision followed a review of unforeseen circumstances that limited our ability to provide the highest-quality experience,” said Kamesha H. Richard, executive assistant for the Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way.
The organization announced the event will now take place Oct. 17 at the Five30 Event Center in Marysville.
Organizers acknowledged support from local restaurants, wineries and breweries that had committed to participate in the April event and said those partnerships will carry over to the new date.
“We appreciate the outpouring of support from local partners and look forward to welcoming them in October,” Richard said.
The group also thanked businesses, individuals and community organizations for early sponsorships, donations and ticket purchases. All contributions will remain valid and be honored for the October event, according to the announcement.
“All sponsorships, donations and ticket purchases will be honored in full,” Richard said.
United Way officials said the annual fundraiser supports programs focused on youth opportunity, health, financial stability and community resilience across Yuba, Sutter and Colusa counties.
Organizers encouraged the public to attend the rescheduled event and said they remain committed to delivering a meaningful experience for guests and supporters.
