OC TAVIO JAVIER APASEO • 11/03/1959 – 01/26/2025

Loving Father, Brother, Uncle, Papa and Friend. Octavio Javier Apaseo, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 26, 2025 in his home of Fernley, Nevada.

Octavio was born in Colusa, California on November 3, 1959, to Roberto and Carmen Apaseo. He graduated from Colusa High School class of 1978. Octavio played football in high school and went on to collect many skills throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed cooking and barbecuing for family and friends. Octavio will always be remembered for organizing family trips to see Giants baseball games. He loved his family and wanted everyone together. He enjoyed riding his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle, watching his favorite sport teams San Francisco Giants. He loved spending his time with his grandchildren, Kristian age 6, Kage age 4, and 1-year old Kora. Octavio was a member of the Knight of Columbus and volunteer at the food pantry for St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Fernley NV.

Octavio was predeceased by his parents, Roberto and Carmen Apaseo; and his brother Robert Apaseo Jr. He is survived by his daughter Zayna (Tylor) Martinez, of Fernley, NV and his 3 grandchildren Kristian, Kage, and Kora Martinez; and siblings Ernest Apaseo, Jovita (Bob) Bassett, Jaime Apaseo, Diana (Felix) Trujillo, and Marisa Apaseo, Nephews Vincent (Julia) Hernandez, Justin Apaseo, Oscar Apaseo, Diego Trujillo.

A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2025. A Rosary held in his honor at 10:30 am and a Mass to follow at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Colusa. Followed with a burial at the Holy Cross Cemetery, and a reception at the Boy Scout Cabin.

Octavio will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and grandchildren. His legacy lives on in many lives he touches and will be deeply missed.
