The 2023 UCCE South Sacramento Valley almond grower meetings will be Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Arbuckle (morning) and Woodland (afternoon). Both meetings will have the same speakers, but the order will not be the same. The morning meeting at the Arbuckle Golf Course (5918 Hillgate Rd) starts at 8 AM (7:30 AM registration). The afternoon meeting will be at Norton Hall (70 Cottonwood St, Woodland) with presentations beginning at 1 PM. There is no charge to attend either meeting and no pre-registration needed. Meeting subjects include maximizing almond production profitability in a lean price year, rootstock selection, monitoring almond tree irrigation and stress, optimizing pesticide applications, Managing bacterial and fungal pathogens, almond pest management, fertilizer management. â–
