County Fair accepting still exhibit entries

Talent grows strongly here in the local community, and thanks to the Colusa County Fair, the public will have the opportunity to be the next big showcase.

Colusa County Fair still exhibit entries remain open with various categories to choose from. 

May 5 is the deadline to enter a project or any other creative item, plant, or baked goods and preserved foods, said Sophia Moresco, exhibit coordinator. 

Entries can be made in-person or online. The paper form is due May 5, prior to the office closing at 5 PM. 

The online form, which can be found on the fairgrounds’ website, must be submitted by 11:59 PM on May 5.

To enter a competition, visit colusafairgrounds.com. Entrants must create an account and follow instructions for each entry. 

The Colusa County Fairgrounds will accept entries for the following exhibits on designated days. 

On May 26, from noon to 7 PM, entries will be accepted for Photography, Fine Arts, Preserved Foods, Quilts, Handicrafts, Clothing and Textiles, as well as all 4-H entries. 

On May 27, from noon-5 PM, Ag Mechanic Projects and FFA Vocational Education Projects will be received. 

On June 7, from 4-7 PM, Baked Goods and Ag Horticulture should make their way to the fairgrounds. Baked Goods and Ag Horticulture will also be received on June 8, from 7-9 AM. 

On June 8, from 7 AM-1 PM, Floriculture, Table Designs, and Container Plants will be received. Then on June 9, from 6:30-9 AM, the Fair will be receiving Floriculture, Arrangements, and Cut Flowers. 

Lastly, Plein Art Painting will be received on June 11 at 11 AM.
