Jesus Martinez, left, was sworn in Aug. 2 as Colusa Police Departments newest police officer. Martinez began his field training program after a week of orientation. He recently graduated from the Yuba Police Academy. Police Chief Josh Fitch, who administered the oath of office, said Martinez is bilingual and is a great addition to the force. Martinez is from the Olivehurst area.
