Princeton Fire Department Annual Dinner
The Princeton Fire Department will hold its annual dinner on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Portuguese Hall, 661 First Alley, in Princeton. Tickets are $20 each, with children ages 12 and under admitted free. The dinner will feature Portuguese style roast beef, baked potatoes, garlic bread, salad, and ice cream, along with drinks, raffles, and a door prize. Tickets will be available at the door, with proceeds supporting the local fire department.

MACC Open House
The Ministerial Association of Colusa County will host an open house on Monday, Jan. 26, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Colusa Assembly of God Church, 1787 Highway 20. The free event invites the public to learn about MACC, meet board members, and connect with program staff. Free dinner and childcare will be provided. Garden Club of Colusa County
The Garden Club of Colusa County meets the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, 642 5th St. A short social with refreshments starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by a business meeting and program at 7 p.m.

Sacramento Valley Almond Grower Meeting
UC Cooperative Extension will host the 2026 South Sacramento Valley Almond Grower Meeting on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Arbuckle Golf Club, 5918 Hillgate Road, Arbuckle. The half day program covers pest management, nutrient updates, biochar, and regulations. Coffee is provided, and PCA and CCA continuing education credits are available.
APUD Community Meeting
The Arbuckle Public Utility District will hold a community meeting Thursday, Jan. 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the Pierce High School multipurpose room, 960 Wildwood Road, to discuss the state of the district, recent wastewater system issues, and possible future rate increases; the meeting will include a presentation and town hall discussion. Caregivers Workshop

Science and Engineering Fair
The second annual Colusa County Science and Engineering Fair will be held Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room at the Colusa County Office of Education, 499 Marguerite St. in Williams. The event features student projects from across the county, with a noncompetitive showcase for TK through fifth grade and either a noncompetitive showcase or judged competition for students in grades six through twelve. Registration and projects are due by Tuesday, Jan. 27. The fair is open to the public and offers a chance to view local student work in science and engineering.
Colusa Farm Show
The 2026 Colusa Farm Show will be held Feb. 3 through Feb. 5 at the Colusa County Fairgrounds. The annual event draws hundreds of attendees and features more than 300 exhibitors, providing opportunities for product demonstrations, presentations, and direct engagement with the agricultural community. Community Technology Workshop
A community technology workshop will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Colusa Masonic Lodge, 311 Fifth St., at the corner of Fifth and J streets. Volunteers will assist with basic technology questions involving phones, email, laptops, social media, and online safety, including tips on avoiding scams.

Colusa VFW Post #2441 will host a Super Bowl potluck party for all Colusa County veterans and veteran families on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Doors open at 1 p.m., with kickoff at 3:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to bring their favorite Super Bowl dish to share; BYOB. Join fellow veterans and families for the game, food, games, and camaraderie.
