Caregivers Support Group Meeting
The Caregivers Support Group for those caring for individuals with Dementia/Alzheimer/Parkinson’s Disease will meet from 10 am to 11:30 am on the Second Wednesday of every month at the First Presbyterian Church, 326 Jay St., Colusa. The meetings are confidential and are open to all who are interested.
Colusa VFW Monthly Meeting
The Colusa VFW Post #2441 meets the second Wednesday of each month. Dinner is served at 6 p.m., and a business meeting is held at 7 p.m. New members are welcome to join, just inquire or send an email to ColusaVFW@gmail.com. For hall rental please call 530-405-6322. Claudia Buchanan: Fiber Art & Rusts
An exhibition of multimedia fiber art by Claudia Buchanan will open at the Colusa County Arts Council, 151 5th St., Colusa, on Sept. 11, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Buchanan incorporates textiles, paint, iron stencils and natural rusting process to create dynamic, earthy images of Western landscapes and rural settings with a particular focus on Colusa and surrounding counties. The artist will be present during the opening reception and light refreshments will be served. The exhibition closes on Dec. 15. The reception is free and open to the public.

Senior (Citizen) Spread
Trinity United Methodist Church of Colusa will host a senior citizen lunch program on Sept. 12, the second and fourth Friday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Friendship Hall, 511 Oak Street, Colusa. Lunch will be served at noon, and the cost is $5 a person or $3 a person if one provides a side dish. The main dish will be provided, but attendees may provide side dishes and desserts. The Colusa County Republicans will be meeting on the third Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Colusa Assembly of God Church, 1747 CA-20, Colusa.
Colusa County Dems Meeting
Join in with other Democrats to discuss the current issues and happenings within the local Democratic Party activities. The meeting will be held on Monday, Sept. 15, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at 836 Parkhill St., Colusa.

Sacramento Valley Museum 80th Birthday Party
The Sacramento Valley Museum cordially invites all to the celebration of birthdays for all individuals of 80 years and older. Celebration will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. at the Sacramento Valley Museum’s Alumni Room, 1491 E Street, Williams. A catered lunch and desserts will be served at noon. Lifelong Readers Book Club
The Friends of the Colusa County Free Library will hold its Lifelong Readers Book Club at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Tap Room, 121 8th St., in Colusa. The group will discuss “The Covenant of Water,” by Abraham Verghese, a multigenerational family saga set in Kerala, India, exploring love, faith, and a mysterious condition affecting generations. Fiber artist, Claudia Buchanan will host a free art demonstration at the Colusa County Arts Council, 151 5th St., Colusa, on Sept. 25, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in celebration of National Sewing Month. The demonstration will feature fiber art and free motion quilting. The event is free and open to the public.
