Chamber Business After Hours

The Colusa County Chamber of Commerce is inviting all their members to join Chamber Business After Hours at The Tap Room, 121 8th Street, Colusa, on the last Friday of the month, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Time to relax and enjoy while also having opportunity to review member products and services, network, and raffle. Senior (Citizen) Spread

Trinity United Methodist Church of Colusa will host a senior citizen lunch program on the second and fourth Friday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Friendship Hall, 511 Oak Street, Colusa. Lunch will be served at noon, and the cost is $5 a person or $3 a person if one provides a side dish. The main dish will be provided, but attendees may provide side dishes and desserts. In the County Program Info Session

The Colusa County Arts Council will host an information session for its new community photography program, “In the County,” on Jan. 10, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., 151 5th Street, Colusa. Caregivers Support Group Meeting

The Caregivers Support Group for those caring for individuals with Dementia/Alzheimer/Parkinson’s Disease will meet from 10 am to 11:30 am on the Second Wednesday of every month at the First Presbyterian Church, 326 Jay St., Colusa. The meetings are confidential and are open to all who are interested.

 

Colusa VFW Monthly Meeting

The Colusa VFW Post #2441 meets the second Wednesday of each month. Dinner is served at 6 p.m., and a business meeting is held at 7 p.m. New members are welcome to join, just inquire or send an email to ColusaVFW@gmail.com. For hall rental please call 530-405-6322. Colusa VFW Post #2441 is a non-profit veterans organization serving the veterans and citizens of Colusa County.

Eliza Gregory Artist Talk & In the County Program Info Session
The Colusa County Arts Council will host an artist talk and information session for its new community photography program, “In the County,” on Jan. 15, 151 5th Street, Colusa. Eliza Gregory, a professor in Sacramento State’s photography program, will discuss the [Placeholder] project, social practice art and her collaboration with the Arts Council from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., visitors are invited to meet Eliza and the project directors, learn more about the program, and sign up in person. Rotary A Nite at the Races

The Rotary Club of Colusa will host its annual Nite at the Races on Saturday, Jan. 17. The fun-filled event builds community camaraderie and raises money that supports the charitable activities of the club and other local projects and programs. Nite at the Races is an exciting evening of video horse racing, a gourmet dinner, open bar, and derby hat contest (prizes). Derby hats encouraged but are not required. Admission is $75 per person and includes $20 in play money and great prize-winning opportunities. CCAC Time + Space Exhibition

The Colusa County Arts Council, 151 5th Street, will host the opening reception for a new gallery exhibition titled, “Time + Space,” on Jan. 17, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibition will feature artwork by the visiting artists at the Social Studies Residency in Arbuckle, CA. Social Studies Art Residency is an artist-in-residence program that encourages guests to investigate their art practice within the environment of a rural small-town.
