Habitual Goldilocks sentenced to jail

A San Francisco woman with a habit of entering people’s homes to eat food and take a nap was sentenced to 90 days in the Colusa County Jail.

Brooke Nicole Eliason, 34, on Monday, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of aggravated trespass in a plea deal with the District Attorney’s Office that dismissed a felony burglary charge.

Special Prosecutor Matthew Beauchamp said he wasn’t entirely sure if Eliason’s offense rose to the level of burglary as it is unclear what her intent was – given her bizarre history.

Eliason has had similar convictions over multiple years in San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Martinez, in which her motivation for entering residences – inhabited or otherwise – was largely just to steal food, Beauchamp said.

The Colusa County Sheriff’s Office arrested Eliason around 9:20 AM on June 13 after she entered a Ceres Avenue home to eat and lie down on the sofa.

The residents were at home at the time, Beauchamp said. ■
