The California Highway Patrol arrested a 65 year-old Montana man on suspicion of driving under the influence after his juvenile passenger was ejected from the front window of a 2014 Chevrolet pick-up after it overturned on Butte Slough Road.
According to the CHP, the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office called the Williams office to report the DUI incident around 6 PM on May 19.
The CHP said Joseph Edward Page, of Whitefish, was traveling westbound on Butte Slough Road when the DUI incident occurred. The juvenile, who was ejected from the right front window, was transported to the hospital with major injuries. A DUI investigation was conducted and Page was arrested. Additional charges are currently being investigated regarding the incident, the CHP said. ■
