COLUSA POLICE DEPARTMENT

The City of Colusa Police Department responded to 280 calls for service, up from 257 the previous month, and 21 additional calls assisting other agencies, down from 21.
There were 72 documented Case Investigations, up from 59 in January. There were 22 arrests, of which 50 percent were for outstanding warrants. Two arrests were for domestic violence. The remainder (20) were drug related offenses, violation of court order, etc.
The major case investigation for February was a verbal fight, which escalated, and the suspect attempted to run the other over with a vehicle, resulting to arrest on drug and other charges.
There were a total of 34 citations issued, up 12 from January. Ten of the citations were misdemeanor citations, mostly licensing violations and drug related offenses.
Six citations were issued for moving violations, including speed, stop sign, and seatbelt violations.
There were three reports of vehicle accidents. All three reported injuries. –
