Carolie Carlson Long (1938-2020)

Carolie passed away on March 1, 2020, in her home after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia disease.

Carolie was born in Chico, CA on May 12, 1938, to Edgar and Margaret Carlson of Butte City, CA.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 30 years, Dale D. Long (1989).

Carolie lived in Dunnigan for 56 years and was very involved in the community. She was a board of director member for the Union Church of Dunnigan and also on the Dunnigan Citizen Advisory Committee.

Carolie loved to play bridge, golf, and loved to travel. She was an avid hunter, always looking forward to deer season. She enjoyed camping in the Lake Tahoe area with her kids and grandkids in the summers. She got a kick out of watching her grandkids play sports. 

She is survived by her siblings Karen Leonard (John) of Gridley, Ken Carlson (Chizuko) of Arbuckle.

Her children Candy Miramontes (Bob) of Woodland, Aaron Long of Zamora and Eric Long (Sharee) of Zamora.

Grandchildren Judy Miramontes (Deston Hayes) of Monterey, Matthew Miramontes (fiancée Nau Nguyen) of Los Angeles, Brad Long (Kelly) of Colusa, Jennifer Long of Santa Cruz, Jacob Long of Woodland, Katie Belcher (Tyler) of Woodland and Macey Long of Woodland. Great grandchildren Carter & McKenna of Colusa and Avery Belcher of Woodland.

In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to your favorite local charity. Interment will be private at Marys Cemetery in Yolo.

A Celebration of Carolies Life will be held March 13, 2020, at the Zamora Town Hall 9810 Black Street Zamora, CA at 11 AM. –
