Joseph ” John” Young, 78, of Colusa, died peacefully at Stollwood Convalescent Hospital, under the care of Sterling Home Health and Hospice in Woodland, CA on July 29, 2016. He was born on January 16, 1938 in Colusa, CA to Lawrence and Lucy Young. With the exception of his time in the Navy, John spent his life in Colusa County.
John worked for the local telecommunication company, (CPU/CP National/Citizens Utilities/Alltel) for 41 years, now known as Frontier Communications.
He enjoyed gold panning, riding motorcycles both on and off road, fishing, and hiking.
John is survived by his loving wife Beth Young of Colusa, CA, Daughter Tina (Ben), Sons Greg, Joe (Audrey), and Josh (Sami). 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Lucy Young, and his brother Larry Young.
A celebration of Johns life is scheduled for 10:00a.m. Saturday August 6th at the McNary-Moore Chapel 107 5th Street Colusa, followed by an interment service at the Princeton Cemetery.
