Having formerly worked for a Ford dealership, Kevin Scott found his true calling with the Colusa County Transit Agency.
” The Colusa County Transit had a great facility, and it seemed like a place I was looking for,” Scott commented.
For 16 years, Scott has worked as an equipment mechanic for the Colusa County Transit where he ensures passengers a safe and reliable ride.
” Vehicles are serviced every 3,000 miles or 45 days, or whichever comes first,” said Scott.
Scott also services many Sheriffs Department vehicles and various county vehicles.
” I also make sure that the buses are able to pass the California Highway Patrol inspections that are done twice a year,” said Scott, ” my ultimate goal is to keep the drivers happy and driving their bus.
In addition to servicing the vehicles, Scott has been working to add the new advertising spaces on the buses.
” We have advertising space available on buses for businesses to utilize,” said Scott, ” It is an excellent opportunity.
When Scott is not working on a bus, he enjoys duck hunting and cruising on his motorcycle.
When asked if he had any advice for passengers Scott said it is a good idea to be nice to your drivers.
