Two Injured in Head-on Collision on HWY 20

Two people are injured after a head-on collision on Highway 20, just west of East Camp Road in Williams.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., on August 11, 2014, the Williams Fire Department and emergency personnel were dispatched to a head-on collision between a 1995 Chevy, and a 2014 Acura.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the driver of the Chevy,Dawn Johnson, 46 of Olivehurst, California, somehow allowed her vehicle to travel out of its eastbound lane and collided with the Acura, driven by Dennis Dahlback, 65, of Sacramento, California.

After the initial impact, Johnsons vehicle continued to travel off the roadway where it rolled over.

Dahlbacks vehicle remained disabled, blocking the lanes of the highway.

The accident closed Highway 20, in its entirety, for approximately 30 minutes as emergency crews attended the injured parites and removed the wreckage.

Johnson was life flighted to UC Davis Medical Center where she was treated for her injuries.

The incident is currently still under investigation with the Williams Area CHP Office. –
