I’m interested in primary elections. I think a lot rides on the outcomes.
It frightens me that so many socialists are appearing on ballots across the United States.
It’s concerning to think that young voters who know little about socialism may see it as a quick fix to get something for nothing.
We can only hope that anyone with the privilege of being a legal voter will take the time to study history. Before you vote, make sure you really know what you are voting for. You make the choice. It’s a choice you’ll have to live with.
Please be clear on the challenges and the issues.
Additionally, if you don’t vote, you do not have the right to complain.
We older folks remember too much of the past to risk losing our rights.
On a brighter note, California Assemblyman James Gallagher won the special election to replace the late Rep. Doug LaMalfa, who passed away earlier this year at age 65. The victory gives Republicans another vote as they hold onto a narrow majority.
I’ve known James for a number of years. I’ve always seen him keep his word and fight for what he believes in. He has never walked away from the challenge of preserving the North State. So, I happily celebrate and congratulate California and James on his well-deserved win.
Admittedly, I’m older, but because of that I’ve seen a lot. There have always been protests, but until now they have been just that: protests.
Sadly, some protests have now become open invitations to violence.
We are the greatest country in the world. Shouldn’t we still take pride in our country? I do not understand the notion of insulting our country and allowing such widespread hatred to continue.
Fearfully, if we continue to allow division and criticism to overshadow unity, we will lose. There are outside forces actively trying to stir the pot and tear down all we once held dear.
Stand up and once again take pride in America.
Life will be good today.
