Time marches on. We’re looking forward to summer coming. The yard is a mess in the aftermath of winter in North Dakota.
Thank goodness for able bodied teenaged grandsons.
Vaughn isn’t afraid of hard work. He’ll be here this morning to start summer chores for the old folks.
Funny how things that are once easy to accomplish are now a challenge to us.
Time is not a friend to the elderly. As much as we hate to admit that we are now in that category it is something we have to accept. There is no shame in asking for help.
As far back as when I first found myself widowed and alone, I realized I needed help in some things. It didn’t take long for me to realize that anything I couldn’t do, I could pay someone who could do it.
When I first moved back to California after my late husband David passed daughter Tiffany moved with me.
She was tough for small woman. We moved to my grandparents’ cottage on the family walnut orchard.
Country living was a new adventure for both of us. It was Tiffany who stepped up and did the ugly stuff that comes with living in the country.
Throughout my lifetime I have been blessed by children and grandchildren who show up when I need them.
Time marches on and thank God for the younger ones willing to help us.
Life is good today.
