Check it out! Small Team, Big Impact

As part of the County’s recognition of May as County Employee Appreciation Month, the Colusa County Free Library is proud to recognize the dedicated staff members whose hard work, creativity, and commitment make our libraries welcoming and valuable spaces for the community. Libraries are far more than buildings with books. They are places where people come to learn, connect, access resources, and feel supported. That work is only possible because of the staff members who serve our communities every day.

Pam brings dedication and passion to the Literacy Program, where she works tirelessly to help patrons achieve their goals. Her belief in the importance of literacy and lifelong learning has a meaningful impact far beyond the library walls.

Becca’s attention to detail and care for the library’s collections are evident in every aspect of her work. Thoughtful in her book purchasing, meticulous in cataloging, and creative in her displays, she helps make the library both organized and inviting for patrons of all ages.

Gaby brings energy, creativity, and joy to youth services. Her story times, STEAM activities, and other programming engage children and families while encouraging curiosity and learning. Her willingness to try new ideas keeps programs fresh and exciting for the community.

Nita’s care for patrons and commitment to customer service help ensure visitors feel welcomed, heard, and supported. She provides reliable customer service with patience to help patrons find the materials and resources they need.

Although newer to the team, Jill has already become a valued presence. She has stepped into her role with kindness, professionalism, and a wealth of knowledge that benefits both patrons and coworkers.

In Stonyford, Ann provides the steady and dependable service that our most rural branch relies on. She understands the needs and interests of the community and brings a deep knowledge of books and readers’ interests that enriches the entire library system.

And Dee, who keeps so much of the system running smoothly behind the scenes, is truly the glue that holds everything together. From solving problems to managing countless operational details, she consistently supports both staff and patrons with patience and positivity.

Together, these extraordinary individuals help create a library system that is welcoming, responsive, and community-focused. During County Employee Appreciation Month, we are grateful for their dedication and proud to recognize the important work they do every day.
