The Friends of the Colusa County Free Library are delighted to invite the community to the 22nd Annual Wine Tasting, a cherished tradition that pairs exceptional local wines with a shared commitment to supporting our public library. This year’s event will take place on May 2 from noon to 3 p.m., offering a relaxed and inviting afternoon filled with flavor, connection, and purpose.
Guests will enjoy tastings from a curated selection of regional wineries, each showcasing their unique vintages. A variety of thoughtfully prepared sweet and savory bites will accompany the wines, creating a well-balanced and memorable culinary experience. This year Willows based Sierra Nevada Cheese Company has generously donated a selection of their artisanal cheeses.
While the atmosphere is festive, the heart of the event remains deeply rooted in community impact. Proceeds from the Wine Tasting directly benefit the Colusa County Free Library, helping to sustain vital programs and services. From early literacy and family programming to internet access, job resources, and lifelong learning opportunities, the library continues to serve as a welcoming hub for all.
“This event is about more than great wine,” said event organizer Cynthia White. “It’s about investing in a place where everyone in our community has the opportunity to learn, explore, and feel connected.”
The Friends of the Library extend sincere appreciation to the sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who make this event possible year after year. Their continued support ensures that the library remains a vibrant and accessible resource for the entire county.
Now in its 22nd year, the Wine Tasting continues to bring people together in support of something truly meaningful. We invite you to join us for an afternoon of good company, local flavor, and community spirit, all in support of keeping our library strong for generations to come.
This event is 21 and older. Tickets and additional event details are available at The Bookworm, 440 Market Street in Colusa and online at https://www.colusafol.org/.
