Life is good: Celebrated

I’ve always been a fan of actor Robert Duval. I’ve loved his movies and the characters he has portrayed. This week at age 95 he left this world.

He left behind works we will still enjoy. More importantly he left behind a family that loved him and many people who knew him as a kind and giving man.

That’s a life worth celebrating.

I can only hope that when I am gone, I will have left a life worth celebrating.

Recently, I have realized this life is but a blink in time. What we do with it is our own choice. Let’s make good choices.

Our time in California is nearing an end. We’ll head home to North Dakota soon. I’m getting anxious to see my kids big and small.

We have a lot going on this spring with graduation, a wedding to officiate and of course mine and daughter Velvet’s trip to Italy.

Tom is anxious get started on the North Dakota yard. Apparently, we have a bigger back yard to mow now since the trampoline blew over the back fence. Gotta love North Dakota wind.  I am thankful for Scott Trotter who hauled it away.

I’m sorry to see it go. The grandkids spent a lot of happy hours jumping on it.

To all there is a time and a season.

Again, we are reminded to appreciate people, things and moments in time while we have them.

It occurs to me to celebrate our lives while we are living them. Why wait?

Life is good today.
