Photo courtesy of the Williams Fire Department.SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) – Fire chiefs from Williams, Arbuckle and Nevada traveled to the State Capitol on Feb. 11 to discuss fire protection funding and long-term planning with state lawmakers.
Williams Fire Chief Jeffrey Gilbert, Arbuckle Fire Chief Jaime Ramirez and Nevada Consolidated Fire District Chief Jason Robatelle met with the chief of staff for Assemblymember Lisa Calderon, Assemblymember Heather Hadwick and Sen. Megan Dahle.
The group discussed funding opportunities and long-term solutions to support fire protection services across California.
The chiefs were joined by Audra Hartman of Public Policy Advocates and Carmen Berry of the Fire Districts Association of California.
