Applications open for Caring Youth Count Awards

The Colusa County Office of Education Prevention Services is accepting nominations for the 2026 Caring Youth Count Awards, which recognize local youth who make a positive difference in themselves, others, and the community. Youth ages 5 to 18 who are enrolled in a Colusa County school district are eligible for nomination. Award categories include Strength of Character, Community Service, and Heroic Resilience. Only one nomination is allowed per nominator, and space is limited. Nominations are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to submit a nomination is March 13, 2026. The awards ceremony will be held April 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the CCOE Education Village in Williams. More information and nomination forms are available through the Colusa County Office of Education. Arts Council Seeking Artists for Spring Show

The Colusa County Arts Council is now accepting applications for its Spring 2026 Exhibition Season, inviting artists of all mediums to apply for an opportunity to showcase their work at the Arts Council Gallery. The exhibition will be on view from March 26 through May 1, 2026. An opening reception will be held in conjunction with the Downtown Colusa Art Walk. The application deadline is Feb. 13.
