COLUSA, CA. (MPG) — The Colusa City Council appointed Graciela Espindola to serve as an alternate member on the Measure B Citizens Oversight Committee.
Espindola fills the position previously held by Johnny Barnette, who was appointed in November and later resigned after notifying the City Clerk that he was moving out of state.
In her application, Espindola said she is a Colusa High School graduate and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in social work. She cited 35 years in public service, more than 15 years as a private consultant, and experience serving on state and local commissions. She said it would be an honor to serve as an alternate on the committee.
City Clerk Shelly Kittle said Espindola was the only applicant during the recruitment period, which ran from Sept. 11 through Oct. 14.
