Democrats Name 2026 Officers
The Colusa County Democratic Central Committee announced its officers for 2026. Ed Conrado will serve as chair. Pamela DaGrossa was selected as vice chair and parliamentarian. JB Brayfindley will serve as secretary, and Sue Rasmussen was named treasurer..
Christmas Tree Disposal
The City of Colusa will take Christmas trees for recycling behind the Scout Cabin, located at Will S. Green Park, through Jan. 31. The drop off area is across from Egling Middle School. All stands and nails must be removed.
Leaf Pickup Ending
The City of Colusa Leaf Pick up ends on Jan. 29. City residents are asked to place leaves in the brown yard waste container beginning Jan. 30.
Colusa Boat Ramp Passes
The 2026 boat launch passes for the City of Colusa Boat Ramp are now available for purchase. Visit Colusa City Hall, 425 Webster St., for more information or to purchase.

Stay active this month with these amazing classes offered by the City of Colusa Recreation Department: Karate (Monday, Wednesday) 5:30 p.m.- $40/month; Tai Chi (Tuesday, Thursday) 9:00 a.m. – Free; Kids Kickboxing (Tuesday, Thursday) 4:30 p.m.- $40/month; Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Tuesday, Thursday) 5:30 p.m.- $40/month; and Cardio Kickboxing, 15+ (Tuesday, Thursday) 7:00 p.m. – $40/month.
Balfour Park Update
The Arbuckle Parks and Recreation announced that it is currently updating the grass at Balfour Park, 10th and Hall Sts., in Arbuckle. It advised residents to avoid the grass areas and that the soccer goals are temporarily unavailable. The basketball courts are still open for use.
Business Funding Workshop Available
City of Colusa, in partnership with the Colusa County Chamber of Commerce and the Butte College Small Business Development Center, will host a free training titled “How to Get Funding to Start, Grow, and Expand Your Business” on Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at City Hall, 425 Webster St., Colusa.
