Peace

Let’s be thankful for peace. Let’s be thankful for hostages released and once again among their loved ones.

If we can’t appreciate the efforts of those who achieved these things, it’s a sad situation.

If my kid was held hostage and somehow released, I’d be forever grateful to the people who rescued him/her. I for sure would not continue to spew hatred.

Take the win. Respect the effort. Move forward being the best you can be.

We are headed home to North Dakota. These past two days have been with family in Pocatello, Idaho. We always appreciate the love that is shown to us here.

We will be home on Thursday. We are ready for time at home. We have a slew of doctor appointments to get out the way, but then we can enjoy the holiday/ birthday season ahead.

The only thing I will avoid is ice. Once was enough.

Daughter Velvet and I have tickets now for our next big adventure. It’s a lifelong bucket list for me. Thankfully she’s as excited as I am. Here’s a hint. Three coins in a fountain. Any guesses?

I’ve got a few more months of healing before we go. Hopefully I’ll walk gracefully and pain free on our tours.

Today I spent the day shopping with my foster son John. He is such a good man, dad and granddad. He shows me unconditional love, and I so appreciate it.

He came to us his senior year in high school.  He has remained our family for a lifetime. God bless those among us who have the opportunity to foster or adopt.

Life is good today.
