I count my blessings daily.
I have worked long and hard most of my life. All of that hard work has definitely paid off. I like retirement.
The day I closed my office in Colusa, Ca I wasn’t too sure. I spent a restless night that night. I was worried about tomorrow. “What have I done,” I wondered. I had that same thought when I walked away from a guaranteed pay check to freelance. I did that twice. It all worked out though. As I’ve said before; God has a plan for each of us.
I always wanted to travel. I’ve been fortunate enough to make some ‘big’ trips and an abundance of road trips in the United States.
You gotta love a road trip.
Back in the day my parents taught me the joy of road-tripping in a big old station wagon. We were the generation of original fast-food travel and pre rest stop days. Our fast food was sandwiches or fried chicken from the back of the station wagon parked alongside the road. When I say road, I mean a two-lane highway. Interstates were something of the future. Good grief! I’m old.
Right now, I’m on a road trip. We’re headed to Colusa, Ca and to our new vacation home. So exiting! Life is good today, as it will be for a while.
