UC Davis Cancer Center to Host Community Forums in Colusa

COLUSA, CA (MPG) — The UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center will host two community forums at the Main Branch Library’s Morse Conference Room, 738 Market St., Colusa, this August, inviting residents to participate in open discussions about cancer and its impact in Colusa County.

The English-language forum will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A second session in Spanish will follow on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the same time. Both events are free and open to the public.

Titled “Community Conversations on Cancer,” the one-hour forums are designed to bring together community groups and UC Davis Health Educators to work toward shared goals for reducing the burden of cancer. Topics include local cancer statistics and data, lived experiences, and the broader impact on families and neighborhoods

The event emphasizes collaboration and the value of local input in shaping future outreach and education efforts. All community members are encouraged to attend and contribute.
