Summer Nights, Colusa Style

Colusa, CA (MPG) — The sounds of summer are winding down as the Levitt AMP Colusa Music Series enters its final stretch, with only two concerts remaining in the 2025 season.

Held every Thursday evening at Veterans Memorial Park, the free concert series has brought a wide variety of music to downtown Colusa, drawing crowds and building momentum for community engagement through the arts.

“This season has truly been magical!” said Milly Lee, a committee member for Levitt AMP Colusa. “From bluegrass to Tejano, our artist lineup has been incredibly diverse, bringing something fresh and exciting to every show.”

The events run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the Colusa Certified Farmers Market kicking off festivities at 4 p.m. Visitors can shop local fruits and vegetables, fresh bread, flowers, handmade goods, and more before settling in for an evening of live music.

Concert attendance has averaged 250 to 300 people, but organizers hope to see even more community members fill the park in the final weeks.

“Our committee’s personal goal is to hit 500 and really pack the park,” Lee said. “Strong community turnout helps us qualify for the grant that makes Levitt AMP Colusa possible.”

The final two concerts include Okan, an Afro-Cuban roots duo, on Aug. 14, and Marty O’Reilly, known for his soul-infused Americana sound, on Aug. 21.

“With just two shows left, now’s the time to rally,” Lee said. “Bring your friends, family, neighbors—let’s finish the season strong and show just how vibrant and connected our community truly is.”
