Arbuckle, CA (MPG) — The Arbuckle Parks and Recreation Department (APRD) proudly unveiled its brand-new basketball courts at Balfour Park on Thursday, June 26, celebrating the occasion with a heartfelt community ceremony that brought neighbors, friends, and families together.

The event marked the realization of a long-envisioned project, made possible through the dedication of Mary Grimmer with APRD and Cody McCullogh, who worked hand-in-hand to bring the new courts to life. The project was funded through Proposition 68, California’s Parks and Water Bond Act, which supports improvements in local parks and open spaces.
As a special treat for attendees, Compa’s Catering provided homemade pizzas, generously donating enough for the entire community to enjoy.

With laughter, cheers, and the sound of bouncing basketballs filling the air, the ceremony wasn’t just about new pavement. It was about community spirit, collaboration, and the joy of shared spaces.
