52nd Annual John Frank Invitational
Competing amongst 18 teams at Central Valley High School’s annual event, Colusa’s Benji Granados led the RedHawk varsity boys to an eighth place finish after he won the 3200 meters and was second in the 1600 meters.

Finishing the 3200 in a time of 10:49.23, Granados was 10 seconds faster than his closest competitor, but actually set a personal record in the 1600 crossing the line in 4:48.31.
Also turning in a good performance for the Colusa varsity boys was Emiliano Guzman, who ran 56.00 in the 400 meter race to take second place.
In the varsity girls division, the RedHawks’ Rajdeep Shoker was second in the 3200 with a time of 13:26.71.
Colusa is next scheduled to compete at the Durham Invitational on Apr. 4.
2nd Annual Falcon Hype Invitational
Pierce got a big boost from Humberto Esqueda at the annual competition held at River Valley High School in Yuba City as the senior won the shot put with a personal best throw of 49-01.5.

JR Figueroa had a nice outing in the hurdles taking third in both the 110 meter and the 300 meter contests.
In the shorter race, Figueroa posted a time of 17.52 and then finished the 300 in an individual best time of 44.67.
Pierce also set its fastest mark to date in the 4 x 400 relay as Noah Sucevich, Hayden Lomeli, Austin Jorge and Adan Beltran took third after crossing the line with a time of 3:54.24.
Running for the Bears in the varsity girls division, Karina Grajedra set a personal record of 5:57.79 in the 1600 meters, which was good for second place.
Pierce made its way to Cottonwood today to participate in West Valley’s Eagle Classic Relays.
