Colusa, CA (MPG) – On February 26th the UC Master Gardeners of Colusa County hosted a Landscape Tree Maintenance Workshop at the Colusa County Courthouse. Igor Lacan, UC Urban Forestry Advisor from the UCCE Cooperative Extension of the San Francisco Bay Area, joined to educate maintenance works from Colusa County, the City of Colusa, City of Williams, Colusa County Office of Education and other community members about the importance of training young trees and best practices for how to maintain landscape trees in our community. All benefitted from learning and practicing the 5 steps to train young trees to have good structure, a strong central leader, and strong branches with good spacing.
