Gary Ryan, 74, of Maxwell, CA, passed away from a long illness on February 17, 2025.
He was born in Colusa, CA, to William and Evelynn Ryan, on June 23, 1950.
He was a member of the Maxwell Fire Department for 47 years, and Assistant Chief for 25 of those years.
He worked his whole life in the rice industry. He enjoyed playing Golf with his grandchildren and Pinochle with his friends, and loved being on the coast.
He was preceded in death by his wife, of 42 years, Nancy Sue Ryan. He is survived by his wife, Leanne Ryan; three sons, Patric, Kevin, and William Ryan; daughter-in-law, Monica Ryan; grandchildren, Mariah, Owen, Ethen, Walker, Ella and Holden Ryan; brother, Larry; sister-in-law, Sally Ryan; and their children.
A graveside service will be held at the Maxwell Cemetery on Wednesday February 26, 2025, at 11 AM. A reception will follow at the Legion Hall in Maxwell, CA. Contributions may be made in his Memory to the Maxwell Fire Department.
