COLUSA, CA (MPG) –After enduring the high winds and rain during the 2024 season, the 2025 skeet season kicked off with beautiful weather at the Annual Presidents Open Skeet Tournament hosted by the Stockton Trap and Skeet Club. Colusa skeet shooters, Mark Andreotti and Bob Maffei, were two of the seventy-one entries and once again shot their way into the record books.
The tournament consisted of 100 12ga.event targets and 100 28ga. event targets. Andreotti was E Class 12ga. Champion, Veteran Runner Up Champion in the 12ga event, and earned the Veteran 3rd High Over All Champion title. Maffei was the Senior Veteran 12ga. Champion and Senior Veteran Runner Up Champion in the 28 ga event. Maffei’s combined scores in the 12ga and 28ga events earned him the coveted Senior Veteran Runner Up High Over All Champion Title. Joining Andreotti and Maffei were training squad members, Erik Jurs, Jeffery Greene, and Catherine Ruebling.
