After dropping their final preseason game in Chester, the Eagles cruised to a Pioneer League win on the road in Elk Creek, but unfortunately followed up by suffering a defeat at home to Paradise Adventist.
Against the Elks, Nate Ramirez pumped in a game-high 24 points, but Princeton also got a monster performance from Chris Roberson, who posted a triple double that included 21 points, 12 rebounds and 11 steals.

Julius Deniz tossed in 12 points and Isaac Muniz added 10 more to the total for the Eagles.
Statistics from the loss to PAA were not made available.
This week saw the Eagles (6-6, 1-2) host Herlong on Monday, travel to Quincy to play Plumas Charter on Wednesday, ahead of hitting the road again to face CORE Butte on Thursday.
Pierce 71 – Willows 41 (1/10)
In their only game last week, the Bears proved to be ungracious hosts as they put a shellacking on the visiting Honkers.
All nine players broke into the scoring column for Pierce, led by Gavin Guynn with 14 points, JR Figueroa with 11 points and Devin Garcia, who dropped in 10 points.
However, Figueroa did more than score for the Bears as he handed out nine assists, made nine steals and corralled six rebounds.
Calvin Bair had a nice effort as well finishing with nine points and nine boards.
Things got tougher for Pierce (8-10, 1-1) this week as they were in Paradise on Tuesday, before heading to Colusa to face its county rival tonight.
Girls:
Pierce 49 – Anderson 39 (1/7)
Pierce 47 – Willows 31 (1/10)
Starting off last week with a non-conference win on the road in Anderson, Pierce returned home to take care of business against Sacramento Valley League foe Willows.
Magali Jauregui had the hot hand against the Cubs tossing in 23 points, while Destany Martinez chipped in with nine points.

Leading the way against the Honkers was Martinez along with Rylie Delepierre, as each finished with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Nita Rodriguez pulled down 11 boards.
Pierce put its three-game win streak on the line this week having entertained Paradise at home on Jan. 14, ahead of its matchup in Colusa this evening.

Despite starting last week with a non-conference loss in Chester, Princeton bounced back to pick up two Pioneer League wins.
Although no other information from the contest against the Volcanoes was available, Mackenzie Wills’ 16-point, 13-rebound double-double powered the Eagles past the Elks.
Lupe Espinoza and Abigale Woodworth pitched in with nine points apiece.
Statistics from the win over PAA were not provided by Princeton (7-5, 3-0), who made the trek to Quincy to face Plumas Charter on Jan. 15 and was in Chico on Jan. 16 to play CORE Butte.
