Colusa 4 – Hamilton City 0 (12/2)

Colusa 0 – Live Oak 0 (12/3)

It’s been a strong start to the season so far for the RedHawk boys who shutout Hamilton City on the road before returning home to play Live Oak to a 0-0 draw.

Colusa goalkeeper Oscar Ramos recorded two shutouts in matches last week against Hamilton City and Live Oak respectively.

Senior goalkeeper Oscar Ramos has been a major factor in the early success, posting two clean sheets and making a combined 12 saves in the matches.

Although unable to covert on their five shots on goal against the visiting Lions, the RedHawks did get goals from Yandel Ornelas, Eric Gonzalez, Kenneth Arias and Romeo Ponce in its win over the Braves.

The RedHawks’ Edwin Fierros defends against Live Oak forward Diego Quintana in a match on Dec. 13 that ended in a 0-0 draw.

Colusa (1-0-1) was back in action this week, hosting Corning on Dec. 10 before heading to the Live Oak Tournament, which starts today and runs through tomorrow.

 

 

Williams 4 – Chico 1 (12/3)

Williams 9 – Paradise 1 (12/5)

The defending Northern Section Division III champs picked up where they left off last season by downing last year’s Division I runner-up, Chico, before returning home to overpower Paradise.

 

No statistics from the matches were provided.

 

On the road this week, the Yellowjackets were in Live Oak on Dec. 10 and made their way to Hamilton City on Dec. 12.

 

 

Pierce 5 – Kelseyville 3 (12/3)

Four first half goals allowed the Bears to fend off a second half rally by the Knights and claim victory in their first match of the season.

 

Statistics from the match were not made available.

 

Pierce (1-0) traveled to Esparto on Dec. 10, and then hit the road today to compete in the Live Oak Tournament.
