Building Bridges
Building Bridges is a community event and concert hosted by Indigenous Warrior Enterprises celebrating diversity, inclusion, and community bonds. The event will take place on Saturday, April 20, from 10 am to 2 pm, on Fifth Street between Market and Main Street, Colusa. CCAC Rhythm & Drumming Workshop
The Colusa County Arts Council is offering a music workshop on rhythm and drumming with Rod Brayfindley teaching beginning to intermediate hand drum techniques. The workshop will be held at the Arts Council located at 151 Fifth Street, Colusa on Saturday, April 20 from 10 am to 12 pm. Drums will be provided, but registration is required. Striped Bass Derby
The Nor-Cal Guides and Sportsmens Association presents the Striped Bass Derby which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, with a grand prize and BBQ lunch hosted for each day. Dementia and Alzheimer’s Support Group Meeting
The Dementia and Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group will meet from 10:30 am to noon on Apr. 24 (last Wednesday of each month), in the Fireside Room located next to the First Presbyterian Church, 326 Jay St., Colusa. Author’s Evening at Library
The Friends of the Colusa County Free Library will host Delano author David H. Dirks at 6:30 pm on Apr. 24, at the Colusa Branch Library, 738 Market St., Colusa. Dirks will speak about his book series that begins with the novel “The Art of Stretching.” In unpretentious prose, foreshadowing something beautiful not yet fully revealed, Dirks book series reminds readers of their youthful wonder.

ARTventures at the Library-Colusa
This month’s ARTventures will be held from 3:30 to 5 pm at the Colusa Branch Library, 738 Market St., Colusa. ARTventures is a free monthly art program for kids ages 8-13, hosted by the Colusa County Arts Council at the Arbuckle, Grimes, Maxwell, Williams, and Colusa branches of the Colusa County Free Libraries. Participants will learn about the Seed Library and make their paper mache seed bomb with native wildflower seeds. Kids Fish Day
The Colusa County Fish & Game Commission will host a free Kids Fishing Day on Saturday, April 27, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, at Little Stony Creek- day use area on Goat Mountain Road.

Colusa County Behavioral Health will offer free Yoga, with certified instructor Pamela Triggs, from 10-11 am, on Wednesday, Apr. 17 at the Colusa County Free Library, 738 Market St., Colusa. Bring your own mat if possible. Beginners welcome. Modified poses available for those with limited movement. Yoga can improve flexibility, strength, and concentration, while boosting mood and reducing stress and joint strain.

Colusa High Alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago are invited to attend the Vintage Alumni Picnic on Saturday, May 18 from 11 am to 2 pm. The gathering will be at Sankey-Elmwood Park, 4th and Parkhill Street in Colusa. Bring your own food, drinks, chairs, and memories. A 50/50 Raffle will benefit the Alumni Association. Welcome to the Class of 1974 who become “Vintage Alumni” this year.
