Maxwell 22 – Esparto 9 (2/27)
Maxwell 1 – Durham 16 (2/29)

After laying waste to Esparto in its season opener, Maxwell was limited to just two hits in a loss to Durham.
On the road in Esparto, Allie Wills went a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate while Shelby Dunlap, Lylah Barrett and Bailee Haywood collected three knocks apiece.
Also joining the hit parade was Teresita Salazar and Ryann Dennis who each finished with a pair of hits.

Haywood shouldered the load in the circle going four and a third innings where she struck out six and allowed just two runs.
Things certainly didn’t come as easy in Durham however as Haywood reached base twice with a hit and a walk, while Taylor Chambers accounted for the Panthers’ only other hit.
This week Maxwell, the reigning NSCIF Division VII champion, prepares to square off against the competition in its home tournament, which runs from Mar. 7-9.
