Saturday, Feb. 10

Sacred Heart Sodality Card Party

The Sacred Heart Sodality will host its annual card party, on Saturday, Feb. 10. The event begins with a luncheon at 11:30 am, followed by an afternoon of Bridge, Pinochle or Whist. High point and raffle prizes will be awarded. Doors open at 11 am. Donation is $20. Location will be Sacred Heart Church Parish Hall, 45 Elm St. Maxwell.

Holiday Topper 

The Glenn-Colusa Cattlewomen and Cattlemen will host the 32nd annual Holiday Topper dinner/dance fundraiser, on Feb. 10. Cocktails 6 pm; dinner 7 pm. The event will be held in the Main Exhibit Hall, Colusa County Fairgrounds, 1303 10th St., Colusa. Event will include a Prime Rib dinner prepared by Cow Camp Catering, silent desert auction, and dancing to Township Band. Must be at least 21 years old to attend. Tickets are $150 per couple. Saturday, Feb. 17

OLL Crab Feed

The annual Our Lady of Lourdes Crab Feed will be held from 5:30-8 pm on Saturday, Feb. 17 in St. Bernadette’s Hall, 745 Ware Ave., Colusa. Dinner includes crab, lasagna, salad, bread, and dessert (beer and wine bar available). Tickets are $65 per person. Tables for eight (includes beer and wine wristbands) are $700. Colusa County Historical Society Luncheon

The Colusa County Historical Society will host its annual meeting and luncheon, Saturday, Feb. 17, at noon, inside the Friendship Hall, Trinity United Methodist Church, 511 Oak Street. Guest speaker is Lani Yoshimura, recently retired from 42 years as director of the Gilroy Library.  For more information and to register for the luncheon, visit “events” at colusi.com. Wednesday, Feb. 21

Learning Wellness at the Libraries 

Let’s Move! Colusa County Behavioral Health will offer free Yoga, with certified instructor Pamela Triggs, from 10-11 am, on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at the Colusa County Free Library, 738 Market St., Colusa. Bring your own mat if possible. Beginners welcome. Modified poses available for those with limited movement. Yoga can improve flexibility, strength, and concentration, while boosting mood and reducing stress and joint strain.

 

Wednesday, Feb. 27

Dementia and Alzheimer’s Support Group Meeting

The Dementia and Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group will meet from 10:30 am to noon on Feb. 27 (last Wednesday of each month), in the Fireside Room located next to the First Presbyterian Church, 326 Jay St., Colusa. Saturday, March 9

Maxwell Leprechaun Run

The fifth annual Maxwell Leprechaun Run and Vendor Fair will be held on Saturday, March 9, at Maxwell Elementary School, 146 North St. Registration begins at 8 AM with races starting at 9 AM. Entry fee is $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-17. Small children, strollers, and pets on leash are welcome. Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded for first, second, and third places in multiple age divisions for both the 1-mile and 5k. Awards for fastest 5K and Most Green/Best Dressed Leprechaun will also be awarded.
