COLUSA, CA (MPG) – Sacramento Valley League play hasn’t provided much of a challenge for the RedHawks this season as they claimed three more easy victories at home last week, most recently a 70-36 Homecoming win over Paradise on Jan. 26.

There was never any doubt as to the game’s outcome given that Colusa outscored the Bobcats 21-4 after the first quarter and took a 40-13 lead into the locker room at the half.
It comes as no surprise though as the RedHawks boast size and speed including Isaiah Travis and Luke Kalfsbeek in the post, along with a trio of athletic guards in Landon and Peyton Humphrey along with Seth Kalisuch, all of whom who can finish at the rim in addition to knocking down long-range jumpers.
In last Friday’s conquest, Travis logged his fourth double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Landon Humphrey tossed in 11 points.
Kalisuch quietly made significant contributions with six points, six rebounds and five assists.
Underneath, a pair of juniors in Jace Mackaben and Joe Chavez turned in noteworthy efforts as well, with Mackaben finishing with eight points and seven rebounds, and Chavez chipping in with seven points.

Prior to the win over Paradise, Colusa, ranked No. 3 in the Northern Section’s Division IV, after the team blew past Winters 60–36 and Live Oak 73-47.
Against Winters, the RedHawk defense stifled the Warriors, holding the visitors to just 11 second half points.
Landon Humphrey tied his season-high output with 26 points, Travis pitched in with eight points and six boards, and Kalfsbeek corralled seven rebounds.
In the game against Live Oak, Humphrey scored a game high 20 points, with Kalisuch not far behind, after dropping 18.
Colusa (17-5, 9-0) put its 10-game win streak on the line this week in Trowbridge against East Nicolaus on Tuesday, before heading to Willows tonight.
