Fairgrounds Gearing up for Colusa Farm Show
COLUSA, CA (MPG) The Colusa County Fairgrounds will welcome visitors to the 2024 Colusa County Farm Show, Feb. 6-8.
Sponsored by the 44th District Agriculture Association and organized by a committee of local farmers and businessmen, the Colusa Farm Show will be the focal point of activity for the agriculture industry in Northern California.
Visitors will be greeted at the Colusa Farm Show by manufacturers and retailers of farm equipment and other vendors, who provide one-stop shopping for all farm services.
Gates will be open 9 AM to 4 PM on Feb. 6-7 at the Çolusa County Fairgrounds, 1303 10th St., Colusa. Gates will be open 9 AM to 3 PM on Thursday, Feb. 8, the final day of the show.
Food concessions stands are located near the front entrance and inside Festival Hall. Free parking and free admission.
Applications Open for NVCF Scholarships
CHICO, CA (MPG) – The application period has begun for 19 college scholarships offered through North Valley Community Foundation.
The majority of the scholarships at NVCF are for graduating seniors who will be attending college in the fall, but there are some for current college students.
Students from any high school in Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Colusa and Plumas counties can enter their school to see which scholarships they are eligible for.
Scholarships open for applications through NVCF include Altacal Audubon Elizabeth I. Brown Scholarship, BCOE Don Reighley Memorial Scholarship, Bridging the Gap for Breast Cancer Scholarship, Carrie Holiman Memorial Scholarship, Cindy Kennedy Memorial Scholarship, Ethan McCoy Memorial Scholarship, Harold Williams Scholarship, Jerry Novotny Journalism Scholarship, Mack Johnston Memorial Scholarship, Molly Sacksteder Memorial Scholarship, Mo-Train Spirit Award, Red Bluff Alums for Justice Scholarship, David Fleming Memorial Scholarship, George and Alice Smith Scholarship, Lydia Schulerud Scholarship, Matt Schneider Memorial Scholarship, Susan E. Williams Scholarship, Women’s Improvement Club of Paradise Scholarship, and Thomas Sprys Scholarship.
The deadline to apply for most scholarships is April 19. Applications for and details about each scholarship can be viewed at nvcf.org/scholarships.
